 ´ It´s a fresh new year 12 glorious months stretch before us, gleaming with potential. Forget losing weight or eating kale; this year, make a B.C. travel resolution! There´s wildlife to watch, wineries to be toured, and cosy hamlets to escape to. And don't forget dramatic landscapes to paddle, hike, sail, swim, surf, ski, and cycle across. Our collective list rivals the length of the Fraser River, but here are a few 2014 B.C. travel resolutions from the staff of British Columbia Magazine: 
"I´m going to take my family camping at Pacific Rim National Park so we can hike the rainforest trails and watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean."--Cindy Connor, Online Sales and Circulation Coordinator "I´m going to finally hike to see the amazing fossils at the Burgess Shale in Yoho National Park near Golden. I may even bring along a couple of young mad-scientists. I would also love to see Emerald Lake and Wapta Falls, and to try out the cafes in sweet little Field, the park´s only town." --Jenny Manzer, Senior Editor "I want to go river rafting again in Clearwater. I did it once before and it´s totally scary but exhilarating! You can also see huge salmon jumping up the falls, and the guides are very friendly." --Ken Seabrook, Art Director "I plan to visit my brother on Vancouver Island and go boating in one of the Victoria area´s gorgeous lakes. We will most definitely have a glass of one of B.C.´s finest wines after docking! " --Shannon Fleurie, Circulation Manager "My son, partner, and I are hoping to travel to the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Sanctuary in Northern B.C. We featured the reserve, the first in Canada to specifically protect grizzly bears and their habitat, in the magazine a few years ago, and it´s been on my wish list ever since." --Jane Nahirny, Editor "My husband and I plan to explore a couple of small towns such as Kaslo and Nelson either on our way across Canada or on our return trip this summer. We both enjoy discovering the history of the places we visit. I´ll definitely take photos of the mountains and waterfalls we see along the way. And we both enjoy trying out the hot springs when we can find them." --Janina McLaren, Administrative Assistant "I´d like to attempt to try every single winery in B.C., but with over 200 that would work out to one almost every other day.
